Pitch 200 draws on civil engineers’ creativity to demonstrate a particular aspect of their work to a public audience in just 200 seconds.
Are you a civil engineer with a passion for what you do? Have you worked on an exciting project that you're bursting to tell someone about?
If so, be sure to apply for the Northern Ireland heat of Pitch 200, ICE’s exciting competition to find the person who can best demonstrate a civil engineering related concept or project in 200 seconds. Applications for contestants are now open.
Pitch 200, part of NI Science Festival 2020, draws on civil engineers' creativity to demonstrate a particular aspect of their work to a public audience - in just 200 seconds.
Applicants are encouraged to make their entries as engaging and dynamic as possible and the use of props is highly encouraged.
How to apply
To apply, please fill in an application form and send a short, 20-second video summary of your concept or project by 10 January 2020.
For more information about Pitch 200, please contact the ICE Northern Ireland team at [email protected].
Entries will then be shortlisted and those that go through will be asked to give their full 200-second presentation at the regional final, with the winner being decided by a panel of expert judges.
The winner of each regional final will then compete to be crowned the UK champion at ICE headquarters in London in Autumn 2020.
The champion will be offered high-profile opportunities to work with ICE to promote civil engineering.
We look forward to receiving your applications. Good luck!
