ICE pledges to promote diversity and access to civil engineering careers

ICE has signed up to the Tomorrow’s Engineers Code to increase the number and diversity of young people pursuing civil engineering careers. Co-created by and for the engineering community, the code asks signatories to commit to improving the quality, inclusivity, targeting and reach of activities designed to inspire young people and to build and share understanding of how to do so.

Become a signatory of the code – collaborating for change

Does your organisation fund, design or deliver engineering-inspiration activities? Be part of a new era of collaboration and join the community. By joining the community your organisation can make a difference and provide real opportunities for this generation of young people.

The Code is intended to help us make fundamental changes to ensure engineering careers are more accessible for this generation of young people. The code is open to any organisation that funds, designs or delivers engineering-inspiration activities.

Nearly 80 organisations have already signed up and pledged to improve the quality, inclusivity, targeting and reach of activities designed to inspire young people: Join the community.

Our programme of inspiration

We’re currently running digital events for schools to inspire and inform students aged 16-18 about civil engineering careers. Find out more about the ICE Inspiration Series here.
