Our programme of virtual work experience is open to ICE Student members due to graduate in 2022. Places are limited – apply by 31 May.
ICE piloted its very first Summer Project scheme for Student members in 2020, receiving rave reviews.
With many students facing uncertainty securing placements this year as well, and with the support of our Graduate volunteers, we are once again offering our programme of virtual work experience to support your career development.
If you’re an ICE Student member due to graduate in 2022, apply for your place on this year’s ICE Summer Project by Monday 31 May.
What is the ICE Summer Project?
The online initiative will give ICE Student members the opportunity to gain work experience to aid your professional development, beginning your progress towards achieving the ICE attributes.
This will give you a head start on your journey to become professionally qualified as an Engineering Technician, Incorporated or Chartered Engineer and provide a significant boost for your career development.
What is the format?
Each team of students will be supervised by a graduate tutor who designs a work package for you to complete.
The Summer Project will be based on industry-realistic projects. We expect to have a variety of packages, covering various fields of civil engineering.
The programme will be delivered over a two-week period in July or August, depending on the availability of tutors and students. You can indicate your preferred availability when you apply.
