The competition is open to all ICE graduate and student members in the region.
ICE graduate and student members in the East of England have until Wednesday 13 February to enter the regional heat of the Emerging Engineers competition.
The competition offers members an opportunity to practise their writing and presentation skills, which is useful preparation for a viva or professional review.
The winner of this round will win £250 plus a place in the grand final held in London later this year.
How to enter
Entrants need to submit a 400-word synopsis of their paper on any area of engineering design, research or practice.
>Graduate members can adapt papers from professional development or professional review reports.
Student members can adapt a university project or thesis, which should preferably be based on their own work.
When all the synopses have been considered, candidates who have been successful will be invited to submit their full paper.
The East of England heat is open to all graduate and student members of ICE who live, work or study in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
