Six worthy projects have been shortlisted - it's time for the public to choose their favourite.

Public voting has now opened for this year’s ICE People’s Choice Award.
The online competition recognises civil engineering projects that have had a positive impact on local communities, and the wider public are encouraged to vote for their favourite out of the six finalists.

The projects which made the shortlist from a range of UK and international entrants were:

- The NI Multimodal Transport Hub North-West (Northern Ireland)

Wendy Blundell, director of ICE regions, said: “Civil engineers are often the unsung heroes behind these large and small schemes that all have a positive impact on local communities. ICE’s People’s Choice Award is a great opportunity to showcase their work and for people to learn more about engineering.”
The public vote is open for six weeks, closing on Tuesday, 19 October 2021.
The winner will be announced during the 157th ICE President’s inauguration, which takes place on 2 November 2021.
The 2019 People’s Choice winner was Hong Kong section of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). Last year's People's Choice Award was postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
