ICE's submission to the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee inquiry

In our response, we called for policy to be geared towards:

• Delivering higher performing infrastructure networks
• Creating a stable environment for long-term investment in infrastructure
• Developing a flexible workforce that can be re-deployed across multiple projects

We also recommended that the construction industry should:

• Increase investment in a range of Research and Development (R&D)
• Develop new business models to support increased investment in R&D
• Develop an industry culture willing to adopt new technologies and methods of working
