The organising committee for the 10th Coastal Management Conference has issued a call for abstracts to include in the programme.

On 16-18 September 2025, the ICE will once again be hosting the conference, this time in Bristol, UK.

Across the three-day event, delegates will be able to hear about innovative research and insight focused on a wide variety of marine and coastal projects. They will also be able to connect with peers from across the globe.

There will also be a number of organised site visits as well as a full social programme for the 300+ delegates that are expected to attend.

The full programme is set to announced in the spring of 2025.

Details on how to submit abstracts and the associated timeline can be found on the event page.

Creating a climate for change

Working at the interface between land and sea has always presented challenging problems for the infrastructure sector.

Coastal Management 2025 will seek to address those challenges and especially focus on how the sector can create a climate for change.

Commenting on the announcement, Mark Hansford, director of engineering knowledge at the ICE, said the challenges the industry faces are becoming more and more important.

“The impact of a changing climate, and the solutions needed to mitigate coastal erosion, combat rising sea levels and protect infrastructure assets that are within the coastal zone have become ever more important,” he said.

“Coastal Management 2025 will offer a wide variety of solutions and best practice from across the globe that delegates will be able to implement directly.”

Full details of the themes for the conference can be found on the Coastal Management website.
