The ICE will close its member survey on CPD on 31 January 2024.
So far, more than 1,300 members have responded to the online survey, and a number of focus groups have also taken place.

Help shape how the ICE supports professionally qualified members.
The work has been part of a consultation on what CPD should be required of professionally qualified members and how they should demonstrate their compliance.
It also explores the potential and practicalities of introducing a mid-career reassessment.
David Porter, ICE trustee and chair of the CPD consultation steering group, said: "The survey is part of a broader consultation on CPD and ICE's role in supporting its members throughout their professional careers.
"We have had a fantastic response rate so far, and thank everyone who has responded to the survey, attended a focus group or contributed through a committee they serve on.
"We want to ensure that as many of our members as possible have a chance to share their thoughts, so I encourage anyone who hasn't responded to the survey yet to take this opportunity to play a part in shaping the future offerings from their institution."
The consultation is led by a steering group of senior ICE members representing different parts of the organisation, including ICE Membership, the Learning Society and Professional Conduct.
It was launched at the request of the ICE’s trustees and is the next stage of an ongoing process which started in 2018 with the publication of the ICE Skills Report.
Background
The report’s aim was to offer improved support and a better understanding of the ongoing development needs of members in a changing industry.
It was followed by the publication of the In Plain Sight report, and the UK government’s Building a Safer Future report which looked at the duty of professionals and their home institution to ensure that the public is kept safe.
The reports called for the ICE and its fellow PEIs to pay greater attention to ensuring a culture of continuous learning, and developing a more structured approach to CPD.
In response to this, the ICE has increased the number of CPD audits it undertakes, worked with industry partners to develop specialist registrations, and developed the ICE CPD Framework.
Next steps
The institution is now keen to understand members’ views on what steps it might take to further improve its support for member’s professional development.
The results of the consultation will be presented to ICE’s Trustee Board who will make a decision on the outcomes of the process.
Members will also able to see the results when they are published on the ICE website.
