Those interested now have until Friday 24 May 2024 to submit their entries.
The deadline to enter this year’s British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA) has been extended.
Those interested now have until Friday 24 May 2024 to submit their entries.
The new ICE President’s Nature- and People-Positive Champion category is just one of the 22 available.
The new award recognises the efforts of those working to deliver nature- and people-positive outcomes.
In keeping with ICE President Professor Anusha Shah’s theme for 2023-24, these outcomes should contribute to stopping and reversing nature loss and enhancing the lives of local people.
The theme of the new award will change each year, in line with the inauguration of a new ICE president every November.
The ICE President’s Nature- and People-Positive Champion
The new category, the ICE President’s Nature- and People-Positive Champion, will celebrate an individual client, consultant, designer, architect or contractor.
The practices presented could focus on specific project outcomes or initiatives that span more than one project or across a whole organisation working in the built environment.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate that they’ve taken bold, ambitious steps to deliver nature- and people-positive outcomes and explain the benefits that have been, or are expected to be, delivered.
These improvements must be quantifiable.
To view the full criteria, visit the BCIA website.
How to submit a nomination
Submissions must be no more than 1,100 words and include:
- The name of the company, division or partnership that’s putting itself forward (no more than eight words)
- A brief description of what the initiatives or projects in question are, with a focus on the impact (100 words max)
- A full written description of why these efforts to foster, adopt and deliver nature and people-positive practices and outcomes should be considered for this award (max 1,000 words)
Entries cost £399 + VAT.
