Getting more young people to take up careers in civil engineering is one of many challenges facing the civil engineering industry today, but needs urgent attention if we're to prevent a severe skills shortage in the near future.

That's why it's especially good news that this year, QUEST Undergraduate Scholarships have been awarded to 80 young people to help them get through university and 53 student technicians too – from our highest ever level of applications.

In total 421 applications were received this year and 110 applicants were interviewed in London in September.

ICE and the QUEST Committee would like to thank all the companies, organisations and individual members who support QUEST – it wouldn't happen without you!
