The Ben Fund well-being portal is now really taking off with the number of members accessing it quadrupling in just a year. Members have browsed through more than 11,500 pages of resources to help them in their personal and professional lives.
Use of the face to face counselling service has trebled and calls to the telephone helpline have increased by 50%.
Financial assistance continues to be a significant support to members with over £530,000 being distributed in 2016 to date. The financial advice service for members struggling with debt and money management has also seen a significant uplift with double the number of people needing help.
The offer at Mill Hill Close in Sussex has been broadened and is now an affordable housing option for engineers with families working in London and the South East.
Over 300 members took advantage of the subsidised workshops ranging from financial planning to building personal resilience.
"The vast range of preventative support that we offer to all ICE members and their families has made a significant contribution to our growth over the past couple of years" explained Kris Barnett, Chief Executive Officer. "The new strategy and supporting new brand, launched in 2014, is paying dividends and our objective of reaching significantly more members is being realised."

The Ben Fund is available for ICE members and their families in hardship and times of crisis but also supports members with more everyday challenges so that a crisis or a hardship case is prevented. Your wellbeing is our concern.
