Robyn is a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician with Atkins in Cardiff working on a variety of transportation projects. Robyn is studying for her BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Bridgend College, Pencoed.

Delighted with the award she said:

"I am proud and delighted to receive this award, it will help me pursue my studies and give me some stability. I have always enjoyed physics and maths. Full time university was not for me, I learn more by experience, to work and learn suits me. I am confident that I will progress to becoming a fully qualified member of the Institution of Civil Engineers."

Robyn was presented with the scholarship by Keith Jones, ICE Wales Cymru Director who said:

"I am pleased to give this award to such a well deserving young woman civil engineer. It is always a great pleasure to be able to assist students of civil engineering in their progression through the early part of their career. I am sure that Robyn will be a beacon for all young engineers and hopefully encourage more women into the profession. Very well done Robyn."

The ICE QUEST Technician Scholarship is awarded to students on further or higher education courses that could lead to becoming an ICE technician member.
