The annual ICE-supported tournament, run mostly online with the final taking place at Loughborough University, is an exciting training experience with an active, participative approach.

Taking part is great preparation for future roles in industry with opportunities for participants to learn about company, business and financial management.

MERIT enters 26th year

The winning team will receive the ICE's Silver Salver, presented by Sir John Armitt along with a cash prize. Runners up also receive a cash prize.

The MERIT 2015 winners were from Mott MacDonald. Winning teams in the past have included Arup, Costain and the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway.

You can sign up for information about MERIT 2016 through their website. This will make sure you get the latest updates about the competition and reminders of registration dates while you're organising your competition team.

The first round submission is on 24 February 2016. Finals are 12-13 May 2016 at Loughborough University.
