Leading industry figureheads including Highways England have come together in support of an important piece of research examining the scale of the skills shortage in the highways sector. ICE Members' input is essential in building an accurate assessment of the current situation and future outlook.

The UK is experiencing record levels of investment in transport-related infrastructure. While this unprecedented level of spend is creating opportunities for regeneration and economic growth, it also places a huge burden on the country's skills base.

With your help, we want to identify the main skills challenges in the highways sector. We want to understand the severity of the skills shortage and when and where it will hit, as well as the barriers to attracting and retaining a skilled workforce.

Your responses will help inform the highways skills debate and contribute to a greater understanding of where the pinch-points are that could threaten delivery.
