ICE North West Emerging Engineer named

ICE’s Emerging Engineers Award promotes and rewards excellence in the originality and communication of civil engineering ideas and research. Following a hard fought regional heat, our North West winner was announced.

This year’s Emerging Engineers North West regional final attracted a wide range of high calibre entries.

Three finalists were selected from the entries submitted:

  • Jennifer Croft - Trenchless Pipe Restoration using Epoxy and Polyurethane Systems
  • Lyndon Trinder - Defining DfMA, its benefits and risks within the UK Water Industry respectively
  • Stephen Walsh - UK Rail use of Structural Fibre Reinforced Polymers for Bridges

After a hard fought battle with some brilliant presentations from all concerned, Lyndon Trinder was crowned ICE North West Emerging Engineer 2016.

The judges commented how impressed they were with Lyndon’s paper, which is at the forefront of developments within the industry.
