The prestigious awards celebrate outstanding civil engineering achievement, innovation and ingenuity around the South West. It is a chance for projects and organisations from across the region to showcase the fantastic work that is taking place.
From small projects, refurbishment work through to large new build schemes, the awards showcase the breadth of wonderful work civil engineers are completing every year in the South West.
Miranda Housden, ICE South West Regional Director said: "We were delighted to celebrate the achievements of so many local projects at our awards ceremony.
"Collectively, the winning projects are a real showcase of what civil engineering is all about; they include a flood protection scheme, bridge maintenance, new highway, helipad, lighthouse boat landing, cycle route construction, dam, service station and even a marine lake. This is far from an exhaustive list of what civil engineering is all about, but it gives a very good idea of how much it impacts upon everybody's daily lives.
"I would like to offer my congratulations to all of the winning and highly commended projects; your work is a shining example of civil engineering at its best."
