The seminar entitled "Dominica Bridges and Tropical Storm Erica" was delivered to an audience of twenty-five (25) persons by keynote speaker Mr. Anthony Farrell. Mr. Farrell is one of the most distinguished, well known and experienced civil engineers in the Caribbean. His seminar focused on the effects of Tropical Storm Erica on the bridges in Dominica.
Mr Farrell paid special attention to the hydraulic and structural design of bridges to resist the effects of hurricanes, tropical storms, earthquakes and flooding. The audience was keenly riveted to Mr. Farrell's discourse which resulted in a highly energized question and answer session.
ICEWILA paid special tribute to the outgoing ICE Representative, Professor Timothy M Lewis, who served for six (6) years. Professor Lewis was presented with a token of appreciation by the incoming ICE Representative, Mr Don Samuel.
