Inaugural ICE North West Retired Members’ event

Following in the footsteps of ICE’s coffee-shop foundations, ICE North West is inviting retired members to come together for coffee, conversation and to hear about current civil engineering activity.

Our first event, targeted specifically at retired ICE North West members is Coffee with Arup, to be held on 21 July at Arup's Manchester offices.

Darrell Smith ICE North West Regional Director commented: "The wealth of knowledge and experience that our retired members collectively hold is vast. It's shameful to let it just slip away.

"ICE North West's Retired Members' meeting is such a great opportunity for local retired members to catch up with former colleagues and to hear, from engineers just starting their careers, about what's happening in civils now.

"In return, our experienced members can share their knowledge, gained during many years of working in the sector."

If readers are aware of any retired colleagues who may wish to attend, please pass the information on.
