Developed in consultation with 35 professional engineering institutions, including ICE, it sets out six key principles to guide engineers and technicians in identifying, assessing, managing and communicating issues about security.
The principles emphasise the importance of taking a security-minded approach to both professional and personal life, being aware of and taking responsibility for all security related issues.
You can view the full guidance on the Engineering Council’s website. You can also request a handy wallet-sized card that lists the six principles by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
We recommend that all members and potential members familiarise themselves with the guidance and ensure that they follow it in their everyday work and lives.
