During last month's Annual Dinner, ICE NI members contributed £4,784, €85 and 5 Dirhams total to WaterAid, the charity nominated by ICE Chairman Stephen Heaney.

"The local NI WaterAid Committee are delighted to accept this generous donation from the Institution of Civil Engineers and sincerely thank the members for their generosity," said Frank Stewart, Chairman of NI WaterAid.

"WaterAid brings safe water supplies, basic sanitation and hygiene training to some of the world's poorest communities. It is easy for us here in Northern Ireland to take our water supply for granted, but many millions of people across the world do not have access to safe drinking water, toilets and sanitation."

"2.3 billion people, one in three, still do not have access to a safe, private toilet and the ICE's generous donation will help improve the situation in WaterAid countries across the world."

Thank you to everyone who generously donated to this worthy cause.
