Ania Lopez was born in Havana (Cuba). She graduated in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Energy in 1997. In 2005 she attended the Faculty of Engineering in Italy at the Sapienza University of Rome. obtaining a second degree in Mechanical Engineering. Her career started in Cuba where she worked with the Ministry of Labor and then transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifically in the business area of Foreign Trade. Following her transfer to Italy in 2002, she has worked in both the private and public sector. She is currently a member of the National Council of Engineers. She also created the international project "Ingenio al Femminile", is a member of WFEO in the STC-WiE & Energy, a member of the CNI International working group and a contributor to the Latin American area.
