Alfonso Alberto González Fernández

Mexican civil Engineer specializing in Soil Mechanics and Motorways. He currently holds office as President to the World Council of Civil Engineers (WCCE). With more than 30 years of participation in professional engineering chambers, he has chaired the Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles del Sureste in his home state of Yucatan, and also presided the Federation of Civil Engineers Associations of the Mexican Republic (FECIC).

As Alpro Ingeniería’s CEO, he has developed his professional career as Project Director in the maintenance of heritage buildings, theaters, road construction and refurbishing, together with design and planning of logistics parks, industrial works and some housing projects.

He holds membership of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, Research, Engineering and Invention, Honorary Membership of the Bolivian Society of Engineers and membership to the Mexican Union of Engineering Associations. He is WCCE’s appointed liaison to UNESCO, UN-Water and UNDSR.
