Janneke van Bergen

Janneke van Bergen is a landscape architect and PhD researcher at the Delft University of Technology. Over the past ten years she worked in the field of water and infrastructure, including the National Program for Motorway Design, the Room for the River program and the Coastal Delta Program, that conducted an integral National Coastal Strategy for the Dutch coast till 2100. During this program she was member of Studio Coastal Quality; interactive design studies that investigated future integral spatial development in relation to coastal safety in collaboration with the national government, coastal provinces and municipalities, experts and NGO’s. This gave incentive for the ShoreScape research, funded by NWO, to investigate integral design measures to support Building with Nature in coastal zones.
