Dr Jennifer Schooling OBE is Director of the Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC) in April 2013. She is also Director of Applied Research for the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB).
Jennifer works with colleagues in industry and academia to demonstrate how better data and information from a range of sensing systems can be used to improve our understanding of infrastructure, leading to better design, construction and asset management practices, and to improve our understanding of how our infrastructure serves our communities.
She is founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Smart Infrastructure and Construction Proceedings journal (ICE). She also serves on BSI and ISO committees developing standards for digitalisation in the built environment.
Prior to joining CSIC Jennifer worked in industry for Arup and the Modern Built Environment Knowledge Transfer Network. Jennifer has a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge.
