Mr. Hird has over 20 years of experience in multi-disciplinary coastal engineering, navigation and ecosystem restoration and planning experience. He has served as project engineer, project manager and Principal-in-Charge for a diverse range of coastal engineering, navigation and ecosystem restoration projects for a broad spectrum of clients including local, state and federal agencies, non-government agencies and private sector clients across the Gulf of Mexico and throughout the Mississippi River Valley. Mr. Hird has a Master’s degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University (2001) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England (1993). He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana. Mr. Hird is a Vice President with Moffatt & Nichol and is the Business Unit Leader and Principal in Charge for the New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama offices for the past 15-years. He also serves as coastal advisor to the Moffatt & Nichol UK technical group. Originally from Sheffield, England, he has been a Louisiana resident for the past 20 years.
