Peter Boswell works as a senior associate with Bricad specialising in business development. Until 2011 he was the General Manager of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) that represents globally the consulting engineering industry through Member Associations in over 100 countries. As a Principal Consultant, he serves FIDIC as an Accredited Trainer for the FIDIC Certified Consulting Engineer programme, provides a platform and training for urban sustainability management, manages the FIDIC-EFCA Consulting Engineering Industry Survey, and advises the federation on issues related to FIDIC professional service agreements and sustainable procurement. He was born and educated in Kenya in 1946 and received an MA and a PhD in materials engineering from Cambridge and MIT, respectively. Before starting his professional career in industrial process engineering with Ford, Anglo American and Battelle, he carried out the simulations for the Club of Rome’s groundbreaking Limits to Growth report and worked for the UNHCR in Burundi.
