A new campaign to promote civil engineering in Wales has been launched (29 March) by Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development John Griffiths at a site visit to the West Rhyl Coastal Defence Scheme in north Wales.

Lincs OWF Foundation Installation Passes Midway Point, Denmark

12 MARCH 2012

By the end of October 2011, Danish contractor MT Højgaard had installed approximately half of the 75 monopile foundations for the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm, which is located off the coast of Lincolnshire in England. The remaining foundations are to be installed between now and the first half of 2012.

The Environment Agency has today announced a move to drought status for Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, parts of Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire and western Norfolk, triggered by river and groundwater levels, and risk to the environment and to farmers.
