Educational Base

Academic qualifications, supplemented by further learning, provide a good start to a civil engineering career. This is known as your Educational Base.

Initial Professional Development (IPD)

As you start work as a civil engineer, you will begin developing the specialist skills and knowledge you require to become professionally qualified. The name given to this phase of development is Initial Professional Development (IPD).
