Tim Brown
Having graduated in 1986 with a BSC Civil Engineering from the University of Edinburgh Tim joined Robert H Cuthberson and Partners (a small consulting engineering partnership). He studied and passed the ICE Contract Law and Civil Engineering Paper 1 and 2 examinations in 1990. He became a Chartered Engineer in 1993. He joined RPS Water Services (part of the RPS Group PLC) in 1999 and latterly joined Mott MacDonald Limited in late 2006.
He has been responsible for all stages of project development in the water sector, ranging from strategic analysis and feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation. He has carried out strategic secondments into client organisation to support technical assurance.
Tim was the was a member of the leadership team and Technical Manager of m2 (Water) LLP from 2016 to 2022, which provided consulting services to Scottish Water.
Tim retired in April 2024 and is currently a (very) part-time contractor to Mott MacDonald and performs ICE SCE duties, project reviews, post-project audits and training on commercial matters.
