Overview

The ICE Communication Task forms part of the assessment of the interpersonal skill and communication attribute at your Professional Review. It is based on current issues within the industry.

This is the first South West workshop by the Communication Task Group, hosted by the ICE South West Early Careers Network. The workshop will focus on the theme of decarbonisation, enabling you to understand the requirements of the task and how to communicate well on this topic.

While the session is open to all ICE members, it will be especially valuable for those preparing for their Chartered Professional Review (CPR) at CEng level.

Suzanne Willis, ICE membership development officer will begin by outlining the Communication Task and its role within the CEng Professional Review.

A guest speaker will then introduce the theme of decarbonisation, setting the scene for discussion. Participants will move into breakout groups to explore questions posed by the speaker, before coming back together for a group feedback session to share insights and reflections.

Attendees are encouraged to do some background reading or research on decarbonisation ahead of the event to get the most from the discussion. A Miro whiteboard will be used during the workshop, so please ensure you have registered for a Miro account in advance.

This event will be held online and joining instructions will be sent out the day before the session.
