Overview

Heidelberg Materials are committed to achieving net zero concrete by 2050 in line with national and international targets for climate change. As part of this, they are delivering carbon emissions reductions using carbon capture technologies.

This presentation will cover the background, process, certification of carbon captured and carbon-captured products, together with their involvement with Hynet. It will also include a progress update on the world’s first carbon capture facility that enables fully decarbonised cement production at their Padeswood site in North Wales.

The speaker will also discuss the following:

  • Where does the carbon come from?
  • Why do we need carbon capture?
  • How does carbon capture work?
  • Brevik evoZero project
  • Hynet Network
  • HM UK Padeswood CCS project
  • evoZero options in the UK

At the end of the presentation there will be time for a Q&A.
