Dr Ivan Fung will discuss innovative AI-powered safety consultant solutions and their potential implementation in Hong Kong's construction industry. Dr Fung Ivan Wing Hong is CEO of iCARE Technology (HK) Co. Ltd., a former technology leader at King's College London and former director of its Centre for AI Safety and Digital Innovation. For 20 years he has been at the forefront of construction technology research at leading institutions.
Dr Fung has advised on construction safety projects in many jurisdictions and is the author of pioneering research on AI-powered safety systems. He is also an independent expert commissioned by international construction firms which sets out his recommendations for improving safety management, risk management and achieving net zero carbon safety objectives. These recommendations have been endorsed in the industry Construction Technology Playbook and are being widely adopted.
Dr. Fung also spearheaded international government guidance on AI safety integration for design and construction to support building safety, which shows how balanced gender equality supply chain involvement can enhance construction project outcomes and digital innovation. He is a contributor to several technology strategy guidance publications.
Dr Fung is the principal author of several AI safety and digital human technology research papers which have been adopted on construction sites worth over £100 billion and are now part of the leading international suite of AI safety contracts.
