Overview

The power of STEM can change lives and build the skills and knowledge society needs for the future. But inspiring young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and maths depends on committed volunteers.

Could 2023 be your year to make a difference in STEM?

This webinar is aimed at engineering and infrastructure professionals in South West England who might be considering STEM volunteering for the first time or looking for new ideas in STEM outreach and education.

The session will introduce the work of the South West STEM Collaboration Group, funded by the Environment Agency’s South West Hub, which brings together like-minded organisations to work together to improve STEM outreach for schools and students in the region.

Find out about how to become an ICE STEM Ambassador, explore how STEM volunteering can help your career as well as the next generation and gain an understanding of the STEM landscape in the region and the opportunities to get involved.

The webinar is hosted by Lizzie Rees of WSP, the ICE South West Regional Committee STEM representative.
