Professional registration is an important milestone in the career of any civil engineer. With many modern civil engineering degree apprenticeships now accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), apprentices have a clear pathway to achieving professional recognition through their academic and workplace development.

This webinar will explore the journey from apprentice to Incorporated Engineer (IEng), providing insight into how the End Point Assessment (EPA) can align with the ICE professional review process. Attendees will gain an understanding of the competencies required, how to evidence professional development, and the steps involved in progressing towards professional registration.

Samuel Conlon will share his own experiences, reflecting on his progression from an apprentice to a senior engineering leadership role. He will discuss the challenges and opportunities encountered throughout his apprenticeship, degree studies and professional qualification journey.

The session is aimed at apprentices, graduates, mentors, supervisors and employers who are interested in understanding how apprenticeship pathways can support progression towards ICE professional registration. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and learn from real-world experiences.
