Following the AGM, learn more about the City of Edinburgh Council's vision for water management with an informative lecture from John Wright, account leader at Mott MacDonald. 

The City of Edinburgh Council published their Vision for Water Management in 2020. The Vision seeks to respond to the Council-declared climate and nature emergencies by taking a long-term and sustainable approach to river, coastal and storm water management across the city. 

The vision looks at improving understanding of water management whilst enhancing ecology, connectivity and social cohesion, creating beautiful and healthy places whilst respecting the unique heritage of the city.
This vision helps the city plan for a future with reduced risk of flooding for all homes and businesses. Integrating design for water and flooding with the urban landscape whilst delivering multiple benefits.

The presentation will touch upon the current progress being made to implement the Vision through actions, projects, and initiatives that help manage flood risk and coastal change across the city.
