Overview

Disputes are an inevitable part of engineering and construction projects, often arising from contractual issues, delays, variations, differing stakeholder expectations, and communication challenges. While litigation and arbitration are well-established dispute resolution mechanisms, they can be costly, time-consuming, and may strain professional relationships.  This interactive workshop will introduce the principles of mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) through a combination of presentations, discussions, and role-playing activities. Participants will gain practical insights into communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution techniques that can be applied in professional practice and project environments.
