Overview

Join us and ask not just 'What can we achieve?' but 'What will remain after we're gone?'

This in-person panel event, hosted by Richard Nicholl Head of Civil Engineering at National Trust, brings together industry experts to explore the concept of Cathedral Thinking: The long-term, intergenerational mindset focused on initiating monumental, complex projects that may take centuries to complete, sacrificing immediate gratification for future benefits. It is the act of building for a future that extends far beyond the horizon of our own lives.

Richard Nicholl will be joined by speakers Wendy Blundell OBE, ICE Chair, Jade Berman Northern Ireland Marine and Coastal Specialist for the National Trust, and Suzanne Wylie OBE, CEO NI Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as they explore Cathedral Thinking for both Infrastructure and Natural Environment.
