Fellowship, is our highest grade of membership. It's for civil engineers and technicians who've made a substantial contribution to the profession.

Recognition of EEA and Swiss Professional Qualifications

Please make sure that your application is in line with the most up to date guidance.

An interview is required as part of the EEA route and ICE runs both online and in-person interviews: online offers greater flexibility and supports carbon savings.

You will be able to indicate your preference when applying, but we may need to allocate you to the other interview format depending on the assessors you are matched with. Within those arrangements, we recognise some applicants will have specific individual requirements and we will of course do our best to meet any such needs.

Mutual Recognition and Recognition of Engineering Council Registration

Your application will be considered by the ICE Exemptions and recognition Panel, who meet regularly throughout the year.

Please make sure that your application is in line with the most up to date Mutual Recognition or Recognition of Engineering Council Registrationguidance.

You can apply to join the Register of Ground Engineering Professionals (RoGEP) if you're chartered with ICE, the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3), the Geological Society London (GSL), Engineers Ireland (EI) or the Institute of geologists of Ireland (IGI).

If you are applying for your End Point Assessment 2023, please make sure that you make your application is in line with the most up to date guidance documents :

End Point Assessments will be conducted online using MS Teams during 2023, if you have an individual requirement that requires an in-person EPA please provide details in the individual requirements section of your application form and a member of the EPA team will contact you.

Please remember you can only apply for your EPA once you have achieved all the requirements of the apprenticeship, agreed by your employer and training provider.

If you are applying for professional registration with the Engineering Council and membership of ICE, please remember to complete Section 3 of the form before submitting your application.

ICE has revised its EPA session schedule in 2024 to match changes to its professional reviews programme. Apprenticeship training providers are being consulted on requirements for additional bespoke EPA sessions after June 2024. Please read our news article and FAQs to find out more.

Member Assessments and Career Appraisals are assessed once a month, but you can send us your application at any time.

If you are applying for your Professional Review in 2023, please make sure that you make your application in line with the most up to date guidance document.

The sessions below are open for the following Professional Review types:

• Chartered Professional Review (CPR)
• Chartered Professional Review Progressive (CPRP)
• Incorporated Professional Review (IPR)
• Technician Professional Review (TPR)
• Technical Report Route Professional Review (TRR)
• Chartered Environmentalist Professional Review (CEPR)

Sessions marked with (#) have limited capacity and priority will be given to candidates based in those countries. Please check with the Professional Reviews team before making an application if you are not a local candidate and wish to attend one of those sessions.

Applicants without a Professional Review session in their home country should apply for an online review in one of the sessions published below.

The majority of Professional Reviews will be held online, but some sessions will have places for in-person Professional Reviews, either as an adjunct to the online session (in the UK for example) or as a full in-person session (the September Professional Reviews in Hong Kong for example).

These will be subject to demand, priority at in-person sessions will be given to candidates who confirm they have relevant individual requirements on their application form. Any remaining places will be allocated to those who express a preference for an in-person Professional Review and who are able to travel using low-carbon options.

Candidates who cannot be offered an in-person Review will be offered an online Review instead. Please see the relevant Professional Review guidance for more details.

You will be able to indicate your preference when applying, but we may need to allocate you to the other interview format depending on the reviewers you are matched with. Please refer to the individual requirements section of the relevant professional review guidance if that applies to you.

Please note that, as part of ICE’s commitment to minimising its carbon footprint, candidates who need to fly to a venue will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
