At the heart of everything we do in Oman is the volunteer-led, Oman local committee.
The local committee is made up of members of all levels including Fellows, Members & Graduates. They invite ICE members to exchange knowledge and ideas, visit interesting engineering sites and to attend social events. They also work to raise the profile of ICE and civil engineering in the country.
There's also an ICE graduate and student group that supports members who are working towards professional qualification.
ICE also has an Agreement of Cooperation with the Oman Society of Engineers (OSE) which enables members of either organisation to attend meetings, conferences and use library facilities at members' rates.

Jennifer Stables
Jennifer is a Fellow and Chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a registered Engineer with MMUP Qatar, and a Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) with PRINCE 2 Project Management certification. She holds a masters degree in civil & Structural Engineering, and has worked for AECOM in Doha, Qatar since June 2013. Jennifer is the ICE Qatar Country Representative and Committee Chair. She is a Mentor to those seeking chartership and previously sat on the ICE Global Council. She is a member of Engineers Without Borders UK. Jennifer acts as a Patron for the TeamBuild cross construction industry competition for young people previously having acted as an organizer and Trustee. Jennifer was recognized in the top 50 women engineers under 35 by WES and the Telegraph newspaper in 2017, and was the winner of the Qatar UK Alumni Science and Sustainability Award in 2022.
