This programme invites applicants to submit their best practice examples of projects that have integrated resilience considerations along with sustainability and inclusivity.
Why become a Resilience Champion?
ICE Resilience Champions will be joining a community of leaders who are implementing innovative techniques to improve the resilience, sustainability, and inclusiveness of our infrastructure.
The ICE will create a database of best practice case studies to inspire more people to work on integrated solutions.
As well as having their case study featured on the ICE website, Resilience Champions will have opportunities to speak at ICE events, shining a spotlight on their leading-edge projects to wider audiences.
Successful applications will be able to show:
- How they’ve worked to advance resilience and at least one more of the two other core themes (sustainability and inclusiveness).
- How the sustainability/resilience/inclusivity of their project was improved. Or if there were significant barriers to their implementation, details about what these were.
- The use of any methodology or indicators used to measure the improvement of the project’s sustainability, resilience or inclusiveness.
3 steps to becoming an ICE Resilience Champion
- Identify a project that’s advanced resilience, sustainability and inclusiveness.
The project must demonstrate an integration of two or more of the three key themes: resilience, sustainability and inclusiveness. - Complete the application:
- Section 1: basic information. Outline the project’s key details - location, owners, start and end date - alongside a short summary of the project.
- Section 2: impact on people. This is your chance to demonstrate how the project has benefitted communities or marginalised groups.
- Section 3: resilience impact. An opportunity to outline which hazards your project has worked to mitigate and how climate resilience was measured.
- Section 4: sustainability influence. Outline how your project aligns with the UN SDGs, and discuss what sustainability considerations were made.
- Sit back and wait!
Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by a panel of experts and you will hear back from us shortly after with an update.
