They are designed to match members looking for mentors to help them during the initial professional development (IPD) stage of their membership journey, and for those seeking general career mentoring.
The IPD mentoring service aims to help members progress towards their membership goal by helping them find suitable mentors to support them with their IPD. The service is for current graduates, apprentices or experienced engineers aiming to become professionally qualified as EngTech MICE, IEng MICE or CEng MICE, who may not have the benefit of structured IPD mentoring within their own organisation; and for those who can act as mentors for them.

IPD mentoring, mentor-supported training and IPD Online
The IPD mentoring platform supports ICE’s mentor-supported training programme and our IPD Online platform.
The IPD mentoring platform helps connect mentors and mentees. Once you have connected, your relationship will continue outside the platform.
Mentor-supported training helps individuals complete their IPD with the support of a mentor, as they work towards becoming professionally qualified with ICE. The IPD mentoring platform can be used to help connect mentees with IPD mentors.
You will need to apply to be an ICE approved mentor, if you are not already, to offer your support to mentees on mentor-supported training.
IPD Online supports trainees and mentors to register their training, record and assess evidence, and complete their IPD.
Trainees will be able to access IPD Online via MyICE when they have registered on mentor-supported training, and found a mentor.
