Overview

Katy Robinson is currently running a campaign to address the widespread inequalities in PPE provision and design among minority groups across the construction industry, and beyond. The campaign follows on from the research that the National Association of Women in Construction for Yorkshire (NAWIC Yorkshire) did in September 2023, which found that nearly 60% of employers were not providing women’s specific personal protective equipment, despite it being available on the market.

The campaign that has featured on ITV News and has been discussed in Parliament, gaining support from Ministers, Professional Bodies, and Industry Associations. It was responsible for the Considerate Constructors Scheme mandate for women’s PPE in January 2024, and is making real change across the construction industry.

Join the webinar to find out more about the history of PPE development, the effects of ill-fitting PPE, and how to support the campaign further.
