Railway Civil Engineers Association
The RCEA advances professional development and knowledge in railway engineering, including main lines, metros, and light rail.
Speakers from Danish (Banedanmark) and Norwegian (Bane Nor) railways will describe some recent major railway projects, how they overcame onerous environmental constraints similar to the UK, and the cutting-edge techniques they now routinely deploy, such as fully digital design and construction.
Speakers from international contractor Skanska and consultants Cowi will also contrast their experience working on major transport projects in Scandinavia and the USA with working in the UK and what lessons we can learn from that.
Registration for the lecture is free and open to all.
Guests also have the option to enjoy a preceding buffet lunch. This is complimentary for RCEA members and available to non-members for a charge of £35.
If you’re not yet a member, this is an ideal time to join - the cost of RCEA membership is less than the price of the lunch, and new RCEA members can attend the lunch at no extra cost!
You can sign up quickly and easily via the RCEA website before registering for this event.
