Overview
The annual ICE Awards Ceremony is one of the highlights of the Institution's calendar. It celebrates the outstanding commitment of award-winning people, projects and papers.
This year the event will take place on 2 July at ICE's headquarters, One Great George Street, Westminster, London.
Across a breadth of categories, the awards reward and inspire excellence in civil infrastructure engineering. They celebrate personal achievement, contribution to the profession and ICE, showcase sector-leading project teams, and highlight excellence in technical authorship of journal articles. 2026’s award winners will be joining an historic legacy dating back to the early 1800s, when ICE’s first president, Sir Thomas Telford, bequeathed funds in his will to for ICE to award prizes for civil engineering excellence.
The ICE Awards reflect themes central to ICE’s priorities, including decarbonisation, resilience to climate change, creative design and productivity. They also cover a full range of civil infrastructure specialisms, from materials to energy, transport and water.
Awards are presented by ICE President David Porter, and the event is compered by Alice Bandhukravi, presenter of BBC London News. Congratulations to the award winners, and we hope you can join us for a special dinner and award presentation in honour of your achievements.
