ICE and CIHT NW Golf Event 2026

Overview

We are teaming up with the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) North West for our 2026 golf event. 

An 18-hole individual stableford (off 95% course handicap) played in threeballs, with a first tee time of 13:27 BST (GMT+1), then every nine minutes thereafter reserved until (and including) 14:30. 

This event is open to all members and guests of both ICE and CIHT. All standards are welcome, but played should have a World Handicap System (WHS) Handicap Index (HI) registered with England Golf, Wales Golf, etc. 

After the competition, members are invited to stay for a two-dinner and networking, followed by a prize giving presentation.

This year's prizes: 

• WH Schofield Trophy, best ICE member score, maximum playing handicap 24 (n.b. scores of players with handicap greater than 24 will be back calculated to 24 for eligibility)
• Robin Parkinson Trophy, best CIHT member score, maximum playing handicap 24 (n.b. scores of players with handicap greater than 24 will be back calculated to 24 for eligibility)
• Sir James Drake Trophy, best threeball aggregate score (cards may be drawn at random to ensure at least one member of the team is ICE/CIHT member as they get to take prized level home)
• ICE/CIHT member best score, all handicaps
• Guest best score, all handicaps
• Nearest the pin in two on 8th
