Overview
This professional development workshop is aimed at early-career engineers working towards ICE professional qualification and seeking to strengthen their understanding of ICE Attributes 5 and 6, with a focus on sustainable development, interpersonal skills, and communication.
The session explores how these attributes are demonstrated in day-to-day engineering practice and how engineers can identify, structure, and present evidence from routine project activities for ICE professional review and competency assessment.
Expect practical guidance on applying sustainable development principles in engineering decision-making, as well as developing effective interpersonal and communication skills within multidisciplinary project environments. Learn how everyday activities such as team collaboration, stakeholder engagement, technical discussions, and design decisions can be translated into clear and structured evidence that demonstrates competence against ICE requirements.
The event is delivered as an in-person interactive session, combining presentation-led guidance with practical discussion to help participants reflect on their own experience and relate it directly to ICE Attribute 5 and 6 requirements.
Organised and delivered by ICE Yorkshire & Humber region in collaboration with the AtkinsRéalis – Power New Build (PNB) department.
