The engineering landscape is changing rapidly, and by 2035, today’s early career engineers will be tomorrow’s leaders. The Early Careers Network (ECNet) invites you to a special forum with ICE President David Porter, focused on whether the ECNet feels ready and equipped to be successful engineer in 2035.

This event is designed as an open space for discussion—addressing questions and concerns about the skills required for future engineers, the industry’s readiness for technological change, and the urgent challenges such as climate change. Are we keeping pace with technology, or falling behind? Will AI reshape our profession? What new skills will be essential, and are we nurturing creativity and purpose in our work?

The forum will bring together perspectives from ECNet members, industry leaders, and the ICE, providing a platform for open dialogue and actionable insights. It’s a chance for ECNet to voice opinions, for ICE to listen and respond, and for everyone to contribute to the future direction of the profession.
