This joint presentation on the A83 Rest and Be Thankful by Transport Scotland and AtkinsRéalis WSP joint venture will discuss the impact of landslides on the A83 trunk road at the Rest and Be Thankful and the work being progressed to address these in the medium and long term.
The presentation will feature the emerging solutions to improve: safety, resilience and operation of the A83 in both the medium-term and the long-term; with detail in particular areas such as geotechnical challenges and the preferred structural solution for long term resilience.
We’ll cover the long term preferred option assessment and the next steps for the project.
