The final webinar in a series of 3 will examine health issues within the construction Industry and is targeted towards the Early Careers Network.

Speakers within the ICENI H&S Special Interest Group will discuss musculoskeletal issues that affect health within the Construction and also what designers can do to influence health issues.

Bernard Grainger

Bernard Grainger is SQE manager with Babcock Rail.

He has been in Construction Safety for 23 years most of that with Babcock in track renewals and civil engineering in GB and he was the Babcock representative on the Track Safety Alliance Work at Height Group or a number of years.

Bernard has been the Babcock Rail Safety lead in Northern Ireland on Translink Frameworks and Projects since 2019.

Jill Given

Jill is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years experience in the Construction Industry across the UK in multiple sectors including buildings, nuclear, road, rail and water. She is the immediate past chair of the ICE Northern Ireland Health Safety and Welfare Special Interest Group. 

She has held various roles at AtkinsRéalis since 1996, including 11 years in dedicated Safety roles: CDM coordinator; quality, safety, security and environment business partner; health & safety lead for the infrastructure business before transitioning to the UK and Ireland operations and improvement manager.
