The first in this series of 3 events will focus on working at height and will be presented by HSENI who are the regulatory body for health and safety in a range of work sectors across Northern Ireland.
HSENI will provide an introduction to working at height, the risks and accidents that can occur.
Northern Ireland Water (NIW) is a government owned company providing water and sewerage services in Northern Ireland - they will undertake the role of client.
NIW will present on working at height from their client’s perspective and their aims of buildability, operability and maintainability.
AECOM is a worldwide infrastructure consulting firm; Doran Consulting are independent consulting engineers based in Belfast, both of which will undertake the role of designer.
AECOM & Doran Consulting will present on the designers role in working at height and how designers can make a difference to eliminate and reduce the associated risks.
Babcock Rail are a leading rail systems company who undertake the role of principal contractor on railway infrastructure in Northern Ireland.
Babcock Rail will detail examples of working at height that they encounter whilst working on rail systems and how they implement safe systems of work to manage the risks involved.
